Emma Mateo is DPhil student in Sociology, University of Oxford. Her DPhil research focuses on protest in Ukraine. She is also interested more broadly in questions of democratic development and reform in Ukraine, the future of Ukraine’s contested territories, and how these issues interact with broader geopolitics. She completed my master’s in Russian and East European Studies at Oxford, and hold a BA in Russian and French from the University of Cambridge.
